The first thing that comes to mind is your excellent research skills that I have benefited from, at a crucial moment in writing my thesis. When many did not believe in my path, you not only supported me and confirmed that I was on the right track but you also provided me with the tools and techniques to achieve a satisfactory and academically sound research result. I remember you once saying that you saw the potential in me to get a PhD. This illustrates that you are not only an unsurpassed lecturer and supervisor but also a true mentor and source of inspiration. Your academic and personal skills have made a deep impression on me and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had you as my thesis supervisor. Gran Tangi!

I had the opportunity to work under Dr. Khaled's guidance for my MBA thesis in 2017 at Maastricht School of Management in Kuwait.

Dr. Khaled paid careful attention to my thoughts and managed to score the balance between challenging me and encouraging me. He helped me convert my thoughts and ideas into a valuable academic research. Throughout each chapter, he helped me build confidence in what I was writing. Each of our meetings, and conversations involved so many questions and debates that were taking me towards the right direction of building complete confidence in what i was writing.

During my academic journey with Dr. Khaled, not only I learnt how to write a valuable academic paper, but also helped me to grow academically, professionally, and personally.

He was, still and will always be a leading example of how I would like to supervise & mentor my students one day.

I’m an alumna of Maastricht School of Management’s MBA Program, 2012 Class, and I was privileged to have Khaled Wahba, PhD as my thesis supervisor. The thesis is, by far, the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do and I would have never been able to accomplish it without his unparalleled guidance. Dr. Wahba is always keen to make the thesis the most beneficial part of the MBA for all of his students. He strives to protect the authenticity and originality of every research he supervises. As one of the best minds in the Region and in the arena of Research Methods and Statistics, he didn’t save an effort to direct me towards an excellent research. He helped me select and refine my research topic, he was extremely kind to share his own library with me, he knew me very well to capitalize on my strengths and back me up in my weak points, he was always available even when he was abroad during my 9-month research to answer every inquiry, to help me decide the research paradigm, to approve the theoretical framework, to read every part of the literature and guide me when I needed to amend, enhance or omit. He definitely and completely had my back in every step of the thesis, not to mention his immense support in the statistical part of the thesis. He revised all results and was there before me on the big day; the Defense day :) I couldn’t be luckier, to have had him as my supervisor and my mentor. My thesis got an A and I was first on my class that year, and I owe it to him.

I had chosen Dr. Wahba as my thesis supervisor because I enjoyed his teaching style; he was very charismatic and had a dynamic enthusiasm for teaching.

In our first meeting in June 2018, Dr. Wahba told me “don’t write something people already know, write something they haven’t thought about”. This stuck with me as I began deciding on a suitable research topic. Through multiple in person and online meetings we brainstormed and decided on a strong and informative research topic.

Dr. Wahba is a man of few words therefor if a meeting lasted a while you knew there was work to be done, if his feedback was minimal you knew you were on the right path.

I managed to finish my Master’s thesis on time and was lucky to received two awards: Maastricht School of Management Global Student Award and the VES (Association of Surinamese Economists) Master Thesis Prize.

I have had the pleasure to have Dr. Khaled Wahba not only as a professor for Research Methods and Digital Transformation subjects, but also as a final thesis supervisor during my journey with Maastricht School of Management Romania (2016-2018).

The in-depth expertise and the top-notch know-how of Dr. Khaled Wahba were easily transposed into the taught subjects, which were taken to an upper level. Not only did I appreciate his teaching method, which was thoroughly structured and organised, but also the personal touch he managed to bring to topics so as to make the them easily understood by students no matter their area of expertise.

The evaluation criteria were always made clear from the beginning and the level of preparation demanded by him from students was high, which although meant additional study hours, also came with positive results obtained and significant knowledge accumulated.

As a student, I took great insights based on the feedback provided by Dr. Khaled Wahba, which was at all times constructive, reasonable and fair. Attentive to students’ needs and passion, he also managed successfully to overlook final thesis preparation and delivery, offering not only timely and practical guidance, but also continuous support and constant reassurance that.

In conclusion, I am grateful for having Dr. Khaled Wahba as a professor and supervisor during the EMBA and I offer him my sincere acknowledgements.

I have graduated, recently, the EMBA program delivered by Maastricht School of Management Romania. In writing my thesis, I have asked dr. Khaled Wahba, visiting professor, to be my supervisor. The rationale was simple and compelling: throughout the Decision Making Tools and Research Methods classes, he took us in a revealing journey regarding the study of phenomena. The puzzle was assembled in front of me with logic, discipline, critical thinking and effectiveness. The balance between team work and individual work was outstanding.

But the best was still to come: from the idea to the delivery of the thesis, Mr. Wahba provided me with his invaluable support: he was always there for me in refining the starting idea, in constructing the research model, in identifying the appropriate research method, in delivering appropriate literature for understanding the different scholastic factettes of it, in writing the timeline of the steps, for a better understanding by the readers, in drawing the conclusions. All my concerns and questions were addressed professionally and in a timely manner.

Regardless the time zone difference, working days or not, professor Wahba was always available to refine my path. The outcome was outstanding and I cannot express my gratitude for his constant and marvelous support.

Apart from being an excellent professor, dr. Wahba is a mentor, too. If life is a sum of experiences, I am grateful that dr. Wahba enriched mine with a magnificent one.

It was about one year ago that you supervised me in writing my MBA thesis. My experience during this period is that you offer very constructive and professional guidance. Especially when analysing the quantitative part of my research.

However, I must clarify that the success of completing the thesis also depended on my own commitment as a student. At the MBA level, students must be aware of their own proactive contribution on completing the thesis.

During my graduation, you also gave the necessary instructions and I have followed that. I am very grateful for it. Only recommendation is that you keep up the good work!

Words won't describe the experience I had with my supervisor Prof. Khalid Wahba during my MBA thesis preparation back in 2016. I really don't know where to start from, from the moment I've been chosen to be honored to become a member of the small group (7 Students) Prof. Khalid have chosen to supervise, or the experience I had getting to know the amazing research development journey, or his humble and very respected personality dealing with passionate students to understand something new to them.

It was an amazing milestone in my life, knowing the art of digging into a field of knowledge. Prof. Khalid have taught us how to enjoy exploring a field of knowledge and how to be crystal clear and sharp looking for what you want without any distortion.
